Shala Walker, CFP®
Shala brings nearly ten years experience to her role in financial planning, investment management, and estate planning. Her responsibilities include financial planning, investment advisory, and leveraging her trust experience in the estate planning realm.
Prior to joining Stavis & Cohen in 2019, she held the position of Associate Vice President and Wealth Strategist at a large Financial Services firm where she gained her extensive experience in estate planning.
She completed Rice University's CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification Education program and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. In addition, she also holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 Licenses. Shala graduated Clark Atlanta University with a B.S. in Business with a concentration in Finance.
Shala is a Board Member of Target Hunger. Target Hunger's mission to alleviate hunger and its root causes in the Houston neighborhoods they serve.
Miss Walker volunteers at the Houston Rodeo every year, more specifically, The Black Heritage Committee, which was established in 1993 to better serve Houston’s African American community while highlighting the pioneer and Western heritage of black individuals in Houston and throughout the state. In 2021, Shala became involved in Ronald McDonald House Charities' Spirit of Hope Luncheon.
