Kayla has over ten years of experience in the financial services industry. She began her career in the Financial Services industry at Stavis & Cohen in 2009. Her area of expertise includes financial goal setting and budgeting. She is extremely passionate about educating clients on financial literacy. She develops content for Stavis & Cohen's educational programs that are extremely innovative, such as helping create the firm's “Edutainment”, which is education through entertainment - to liven up even the most dry and complex financial topics. 

Mrs. Tolunay is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and holds her Series 7 and 63 Securities Licenses.  She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in May, 2009 from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida where she graduated with Honors and focused on Business Administration and Leadership studies.

She was the Host Committee Chair for the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s 2019 Jungle Book Gala that raised funding for “Little Free Libraries” in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. The mission of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life for Houstonians of all ages through the power of literacy - the ability to read, write, speak clearly, and think critically. In addition, she is Co-Founder and Executive Committee Member of ACTX – Advocates for Children of Texas with the Non-Profit Organization, Children at Risk. The mission of ACTX is to connect like-minded individuals with opportunities to advocate for the children of Texas through service and events.  Children at Risk’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for change to improve the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy, analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy.  The main pillars are human trafficking, education, nutrition and parenting.   

Her personal passions include spending time with her husband and three children, personal health and fitness, volunteering in several different organizations and traveling the world.
