Jun Gu, CFA

Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Jun joined Stavis & Cohen in 2010 and is a key member of the firm's Investment Committee. Her responsibilities consist of conducting manager due diligence and leading research initiatives and portfolio construction at the firm. Jun also sits on the national CIPW investment committee.

Previously, Jun was a financial journalist at a Chinese newspaper headquartered in Shanghai, where she covered the consumer sector and conducted interviews with many Fortune 500 C-Suite executives.

She is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) and member of the CFA Institute, and a former President of The CFA Society Houston (2020-2021). She currently serves on the board of both the CFA Society Houston and the CFA Societies of Texas. She received an MBA from Rice University with concentrations in Finance and Accounting and a B.A. in Journalism from Fudan University in China. 

In her free time, Jun is a chess master of the Chinese Chess Association and volunteers at a chess club at her kids' school in HISD where she is currently the Director and Head Coach of the chess program
